Introduction[]
Ferria (also known as iron planets) is a type of planet that contains more iron or nickel in its core. It requires above 50% of the planet's composition. Most ferrias are slightly above the 50% requirement. They are usually denser and smaller than silicate planets and the chances of life developing on a ferria are slim and they are more commonly found in white dwarf systems. The only present example of a ferria is Mercury.
